Its high concentration of vitamins and fatty acids, combined with its easy-to-spread consistency, make it a great product for smoothing, soothing and conditioning your skin.
Boosts skins moisture
It works as an emollient that softens and hydrates skin. Because it contains several types of fatty acids — including lineoleic, oleic, palmitic and stearic acids — that improve the skin’s natural barrier, shea butter also protects skin from damage from the environment like pollutants.

Shea butter is technically a tree nut product. But unlike most tree nut products, it’s very low in the proteins that can trigger allergies. Shea butter doesn’t contain chemical irritants known to dry out skin, and it doesn’t clog pores making it safe for nearly any skin type.
